James is a native of New Tazewell, Tennessee. He received his bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing with a family practice concentration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. James is an associate member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
