Kanishka Chakraborty, MD
Dr. Chakraborty earned his medical degree from the prestigious Medical College Calcutta (Est 1835). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Medical Oncology at East Tennessee State University. During his post-graduate training, he was honored with the designation of Chief Resident and subsequently Chief Fellow. He has served as Associate Professor, Program Director, then Professor during his 13 years’ work with department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Hematology/Oncology in Quillen College of Medicine. He is board certified both in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He has mentored numerous students, residents, and fellows during his tenure with the university. Under his guidance, trainees have presented in many national meetings including annual conference of ASCO, ACP, AMA, SGIM, SSCI to name a few.
